We went to Kelly's Run for a hike on saturday and spent about 3 hours walking in the woods. I always hesitate to go. I'm not really sure why I hesitate, I just do. Nate on the other hand is a non stop hiking machine. One great perk though is the pictures I capture. This is the best of the day. Sunlight reflecting off the stream water onto Tulia's beautiful face.
I asked Tulia to give me an unposed photo and this is what she gave me. love it.

| She also took her fair share of photos including several of us. |
A tree had snapped in half making this little window which we couldn't resist peeking through. Later another tree actually fell over very close to where we were hiking. We also almost stepped on a huge black snake, much to my total horror.
I suppose one of the reasons a hike like this is a sweet thing to do is that you are fully immersed in the outdoors. The fresh air, the colors and the plain old exercise make it great.
Plus you notice the small stuff. like these black little mushrooms.
or a red leaf.
the gathering of bright yellow in the creek bed.
the bright blue sky.
or maybe you notice your parents, arm in arm, leaves in their hair walking home and content.
